Nicki Parmenter - Floral Frames

Participants will create an elaborate floral frame using a wire ring as a base. On to this will be added leaves, flowers, tendrils and butterflies. These will be made from funky foam and painted with acrylics. Wrapped pipe cleaners will be used to make twisted stems and branches. 

I will bring the rings, funky foam, pipe cleaners, acrylic paints, brushes, wire, a glue gun, fake acorns, butterflies and berries. I will also have a series of templates of leaves and flowers. 

Participants should bring the following.

A biro, scissors, embroidery threads and needles, a reel of ordinary sewing thread, beads, felt pens (if possible,) 2cm wide strips of patterned or plain fabrics to wrap the rings. Also, ribbons could be useful, as well as any other "treasures" that might be hidden in stashes waiting for that special project!
